Set in 1960s Baltimore, John Waters' classic film-turned Broadway musical-turned hit remake of the summer took on the political climate of the day as well as a series of tricky dance steps.

Be the dancefloor hit of your next Halloween party dressed as Tracy Turnblad, the "pleasantly plump" heroine of Hairspray and teen dance star of the Baltimore scene. This deluxe costume comes complete with a white cotton button-down blouse trimmed with lace on the scarf neckline and sleeves. Also included is a pleated black and yellow plaid skirt. Top off the whole ensemble with a wig in Tracy's signature Hairspray style!

Or go as Tracy's best friend, Penny Pingleton, the sweet, loyal partner-in-crime to Miss Turnblad and daughter to the overly uptight Prudy. Penny's costume set comes with a white blouse with a lace trimmed collar to be worn underneath a forest green jumper with decorative buttons on the front and a functioning Velcro closure in the back. Penny's blonde, pigtailed wig is sold separately.

And of course, it wouldn't be a dance party without Motormouth Maybelle, the "big, blonde, and beautiful" mother of dancer Seaweed J. Stubbs who taught him everything he knows! Loaded with flash and sass, Motormouth Maybelle's costume includes her show-stopping metallic gold dress to be worn over the included skirt and tied together with a gold, satin belt. The floor-length dress is trimmed with bright red feathers at the sleeves and hemline, ready to call out for attention to your latest hair-hopping steps. Not included is Motormouth Maybelle's elaborately curled blonde wig.

For the um… men… there's Tracy's cheerful mother Edna. In a role first made popular by the ultimate drag queen, Divine and now portrayed by John Travolta, sublimely shrugging off any semblance of shame, Edna Turnblad makes a fun, funny and completely unexpected costuming choice. The set comes complete with a glitzy, pink sequined dress with long sleeves that hits knee-length. Sold separately is the pouffy, '60s-styled Edna Turnblad wig to complete the look.

For a more traditional style of men's costume with these officially licensed Hairspray costumes there's Link Larkin, the teen sweetheart and singing sensation of the Corny Collins Show, boyfriend to the snooty Amber Von Tussle and love interest of Hairspray's hefty, hair-hopping heroine Tracy Turnblad. Link's costume comes with black pants, "leather" belt, black shirt and white tie and a blue-and-black plaid blazer. Add on the Link Larkin wig (sold separately) to complete that teen dream look complete with shellacked black hair and a spit curl.
