Fresh off the Mayflower, the English settlers who landed at Plymouth Rock in 1602 came to be known as Pilgrims. Eager to find freedom in a new land, they braved unsettled territory to carve out a new life for themselves in the New World.

Clad in the simple, plain garb of the Puritans, you can dress like a Pilgrim for thanksgiving plays, pageants, and parades -- or even as a historically themed party costume. In sizes to fit adult men and women as well as children, there is a Pilgrim costume to suit your needs. Go for the more traditional look of the settlers with a variety of Pilgrim costumes. The male version of the costume comes with a black, longsleeved shirt with oversized white collar and cuffs typical of Pilgrim dress and a pair of black knickers. Pair it with your own white nylon socks and buckled shoes to recreate the look long with a Pilgrim hat. Even worn alone, a Pilgrim hat makes a festive addition when attending a thanksgiving parade.

Women have the option of a long Pilgrim gown with a white apron and bonnet, or a sexy Pilgrim costume, updated with a short, lace-trimmed flouncy skirt and all of the other accoutrements that make for one very Happy thanksgiving
