In a far away place known as "Neverland," there lives a magical boy who never grew up. No! Not Michael Jackson! A storybook written by author J.M. Barrie later made into a popular disney animated film, "peter Pan" told the tale of this magical title character who journeyed between Neverland and the mundane world of turn-of-the-century London, taking the Darling family -- Wendy, John, and Michael -- into his realm. Joined by his Lost Boys, likeminded lads who never grew up, Peter Pan's best friend and biggest ally is the sprightly, twinkling fairy with an attitude, Tinkerbell. Together, the whole lot of the Neverland gang wards off the pirate captain hook. Hook has it in for peter Pan, blaming him for losing his hand to a hungry alligator, hence captain hook having a hook for a hand.
