Description

Just a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down! While we don't have the sugar, there are certainly Poppins a-plenty in the costuming department to serve as the medicine for what ails your dress-up needs. The 1964 disney musical starring Julie Andrews as the title character, the magical nanny with a flying umbrella and Dick Van Dyke as the kindly chimney sweep, Bert is now playing on Broadway and regaining some popularity.
For a "supercallifragilistic" style, try on the English Nanny costume which includes a one-piece dress styled to look like a button-up black, "velvet" frock coat with a white, high-necked blouse and a ruffled blue skirt peeking out beneath. The costume also includes a flat, wide-brimmed hat trimmed with faux flowers and a carpet fabric bag with wooden handles, ready to spill over with a bottomless assortment of magical goods.
For some additional accessories, try on some cute granny boots, white gloves, and -- of course! -- an umbrella or parasol.
