Created by comic book writer and artist, Mike Mignola, Hellboy successfully made the jump to the big screen in his first film and now is poised for another box office blockbuster with Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, set for a release in summer of 2008. Brought forth as a wee, red, hellspawn lad from an interdimensional portal during WWII, Hellboy was taken in and raised by the kindly Professor Broom. With his distinctive red skin, muscular build, and large Right Hand of Doom, Hellboy joined the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense taking on evil in various forms.
