batgirl History & Costumes

Before she became paralyzed and known as the computer savvy Oracle, helping the heroes of Gotham City behind the scenes, Barbara Gordon was Batgirl. The female foil to batman, Batgirl was more than capable of taking on a host of bat-baddies. Similarly attired to Bruce Wayne's heroic altar ego, Batgirl wore a similarly clingy suit with a black identity concealing bat-cowl and flowing cape.

Great for swinging solo or as part of a couple's costume with either batman or Robin, there are several different styles for aspiring superheroines to choose from when making a grand entrance. Choose from the black-and-yellow Batgirl costume featuring a glossy PVC skirt as the main focal point, or more of a traditional, old-school style Batgirl look with a one-piece dark blue velvet jumpsuit and bright yellow accents on the gloves, boots, and lining of the cape. If that's not your cup of Bat's brew, there's yet another Batgirl costume similar to the 1997 film version as portrayed by Alicia Silverstone with an all-black jumpsuit.
